2025 Nativity Fast: Red Candle Light for Palestine

WHAT IS RED CANDLE?

A global Christian movement launching November 29, starting with the first light in Bethlehem, Palestine. We’re uniting Christians across traditions to light red candles throughout Advent in solidarity with Palestinians—particularly Christian communities in the birthplace of Jesus.

Why this matters: Christian Zionist organizations like CUFI (10 million members) provide theological cover and political pressure for Israeli policies. Netanyahu’s government is spending millions targeting American Christian influencers ($7k per post) and geo-fencing churches.

Red Candle is our Christian response: We’re reclaiming our faith, challenging theological justification of violence, and centering Palestinian Christian voices—while attention is on Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus.
